As I continue to wrap my mind around Justice, and in particular- God’s Justice, I was brought back to a simple and creative way to understand it. I was reminded by a friend of the www.thebibleproject.com. The mission of the Bible Project states:
“We are committed to helping the whole world see the Bible as one unified story that leads to Jesus.”
Another part of the Bible Project’s focus is “a desire to help others understand the scriptures and all their complex themes in a way that is engaging, approachable, and transformative.” So, I dove in and was pleased to find a Justice themed video. Watching this short-animated video helped me more clearly understand the way in which Justice is elusive for humanity. Everyone wants it (they even say so!) but few can actually implement it, produce it, apply it or enjoy it. Our human DNA for justice is just marred. But beauty comes as we receive the gift of that elusive righteousness that can actually produce justice. This gift comes from an unlikely source- Jesus, who was the ultimate victim of injustice and yet was completely righteous.
The creativity and clarity of this team is amazing! I hope you find as much clarity by these visual and interpretive skills as I did. Enjoy!
